Version 1.2.0 of the plugin was just released with two major improvements. → Install or update the Taskbone Obsidian plugin
OCR now available
With version 1.2.0 there are two new commands available in the plugin:
- OCR active file into annotation file → OCR active file into annotation file
- OCR image and insert at curser position → OCR image and insert at curser position
These commands both extract text from images (including handwriting) and insert them into your Obsidian documents.

New Output options
In the command configuration you can now choose to write the output into another than the currently active file.
The filepath parameter takes a JavaScript format string with all information of the inputs and outputs available as parameters.
Example usage:
- The "OCR active file into annotation file"-command uses the name of the input file to generate the name of the output file. Check the configuration of OCR active file into annotation file
- Update an “open items” document without having to open it. See for an exampleUpdate open items list from Todoist
As before: These functions are felxible but maybe hard to configure, if you want them to behave in a certain way. Get in touch and let me know, how you want to use them.
